Discipleship is our lifelong process of following Jesus, being transformed by Him, and helping others follow Him, all in obedience to God’s Word and empowered by the Holy Spirit. 

 18 And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” - Matthew 20:18-20 

6 “Whoever says he abides in him ought to walk in the same way in which he walked.” - 1 John 2:6

19 “And he said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.” - Matthew 4:19 

Discipleship is important because it is what Jesus has asked us to do, and it’s how we grow deeper and stronger in the Lord as we learn to let Him lead us every day. The world is darker but the light of Christ is brighter, and we get to be carriers of that light, sharing the hope of the gospel with others and watching people step into their freedom in Christ.
